Impress Juices

Welcome back!
Today I wanted to share with you one of my newest obsessions - Impressed Juices!
~
I dunno about you but I am always on the look out for fresh, affordable juices that have no added muck to them. I am that person in the supermarket drinks aisle reading the back of every bottle yelling out to my fiancĂ© (YES! More on that soon!) - "and this one isn't even real juice - its reconstructed!"
~
I love drinking juice as a snack to throw in a bunch of nutrients from fruit and veggies all at once, I often buy really expensive juices because its hard to find cheaper one that have no additives.
~
Enter Impressed Juices - these bad boys are sold in Woolworths across Australia, are cold pressed (YES), made with fresh produce, no additives and the fruit and veggies they use are all grown in Australia. I mean!!! Best part? They are $3.50 a bottle. AMAZING!
~
I am obsessed.
They currently have 4 different flavours, but on this day I could only get my hands on three of the four.

This one is the Berry Beats, the newest juice of theirs hitting stores across Australia as we speak. It has beetroot, cucumber, strawberry, blueberry, pear and carrot. It. Tastes. So. Good! This is the perfect juice to have if your not too keen on the super green stuff as it is mostly fruit and the beetroot actually gives it a really nice sweetness.

This one is their Summer Greens with spinach, pineapple, kale, apple, cucumber and mint. It is so refreshing with that hint of mint in it, I love this one on super hot days.

The Ginger Ninja! This one has carrot, apple, ginger and turmeric. This one is sweet but you can just tell its doing you good! I had so many of these when I was sick as its a perfect pick me up for your body when its run down.
~
The other one that I didn't manage to grab on this day is another green juice they have called 'The Works'
It is probably the most hard-core one of the bunch having apple, cucumber, celery, fennel, kale, parsley and lemon. I love this one for a really good health kick (aka the day after I've indulged ha!).

Overall I am so impressed with these juices (see what I did there lol), they are fresh, natural, healthy, tasty, home grown and at a price point I am more than happy to pay. I cant wait for the rest of the food industry to catch onto making healthy wholesome food more accessible!
~
Have you tried these? If you have what's your favourite one? I actually think mine is the Ginger Ninja!
You can check out all the nutritional facts etc over on their website HERE!
~
Enjoy your day

RECIPE: Guacamole

Ahhh Guacamole - is there anything better? I think not, as a huge lover of Avocado, guac is something I will often make to have as a snack or with a Mexican inspired dinner so today I wanted to share with you the recipe I make. I am more than sure almost everyone has their own take on this popular dish but I'm throwing my two cents in too! Originally I learnt this off my Mum (thanks Mum!), but I may have made a few slight tweaks in my time of guacamole inhalation hehe.

Ingredients
- 1 Avocado
Preferably ripe although we all know how that usually goes

I have found this trick to work quite well for me

- 8 to 10 Cherry Tomatoes
- Dash of Salt & Pepper
-  Dash of Chilli Flakes
- 2 teaspoons of Cumin Spice
- 1 Clove of Garlic
- 1/4 or half of a Spanish Onion or regular Onion
- Juice from one lemon (or more depending on your taste)

 Method
1: Chop up your avocado and mash with a fork in a bowl (I find it helps to put it into the bowl and then just slice at it with a knife to make mashing it up really easy)
2: Cut up onion, cherry tomatoes and garlic and add to bowl (chop as small as you can, or to create a chunky version do this haphazardly!)
3: Juice the lemon and add in
4: Add a dash Salt & Pepper, the cumin and chilli flakes
5: Mix all together, taste test and add more S&P, lemon juice or cumin as needed

LOOK at this adorable and teeny tiny Mortar & Pestle my parents gifted me from Alaska! I used this to grind up my pink Himalayan salt - its SO tiny, I am obsessed lol.

And there we have it, my most loved snack for when I am willing to make effort to make it! I found some corn chips from the supermarket (woolworths) that only had three ingredients and is organic (same brand as pictured just the original version). I also love to have this on sourdough bread to make it a bit more exciting, with carrot sticks, corn thins or as I said on top of some Mexican style dinners like chilli con carne - yum!
~
Let me know if you make this and what you think, or if you have a special recipe you use and how it is different to mine!

Goodness Me Box: Item Review

Why hello there and welcome back to Adorn Beauty.
You may recall I have done a blog post and a YouTube Video all about the Goodness Me Box monthly subscription; well I wanted to keep the good times rolling and this month instead of showing you all the items in the box just do a review on one of the items -
the Cacao Protein Muffin Mix.

Now this item was one that I was drawn to as soon as I opened the box. Its a muffin mix that makes up 6 muffins (or in my case a bunch on tiny bite versions!). All you have to do is add in an egg and some almond milk - mix together, cook for 10 minutes and voila! Healthy, chocolate, tasty goodness in a muffin.

As per the recommendation on the packet, I liked the idea of adding something on top so I went with banana - walnut would also be amazing - even drizzling melted dark choc would be amazing, the options are endless!

So overall I am impressed with these little guys. Perfect thing to have in the cupboard to quickly wiz up if unexpected guests arrive, or you want snacks for the next few days but don't want to think too much or put too much effort in!
~
After having a squiz at the website I can see they offer a bunch of different flavours, along with a pancake mix, muesli and more - ummm yum!
You can check them out HERE if you as keen as I am!

Would I purchase again? Yep - purely for those days I don't want to bake, and to know I've got that healthy but tasty treat as a possibility in the cupboard. Winning.
~
Have you tried these? Have you tried any of the other flavours? Would you like to try these?
Hope your all having a great hour in the one that you read this!
Talk soon,
xoxo
